The DC Generals Police and Fire football team is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization consisting of Professional Police Officers and Firefighters from around the greater Washington DC Metropolitan area (Washington DC, Maryland and Virginia). The Generals are a proud member of the National Public Safety Football League consisting of charity public safety teams from around the Country. The DC Generals members all have full time careers in Law Enforcement or Fire and Emergency Medical Service but also choose to volunteer their time to compete at the semi-professional level in an effort to raise money for charitable organizations. The DC Generals organization donates funds, and MAN HOURS to the Washington DC Chapter of Concerns of Police Survivors (DC-COPS) and the D.C. Firefighters Burn Foundation. The DC Generals are committed to a three-pronged team mission. First and foremost, as a charitable fundraiser, the team is committed to raising money in support of the selected charities and spreading awareness of their mission. Secondly, as public servants the DC Generals are dedicated to the community they serve, helping at community events, participating in youth education and much more. Last and certainly not least, the DC Generals strive to compete at the highest athletic level possible and represent the Washington Metro area in the National Public Safety Football League in a winning fashion.
